Blog v Wiki

Blogs are usually personal while Wikis are collaborative. Convergence is important in today's networked world because it allows more than one person to contribute their knowledge on a topic. In the article "How To Use Wikis For Business", it states "Wikis are designed to facilitate the exchange of information within and between teams." Blogs can be used for collaboration just like Wikis. In the article, "What motivates Wikipedians?", Nov mentions Wikipedia is a prominent example of a collaborative user generated content outlet based on the open source model, and a promising model for knowledge sharing". With that being said, more than one person can post on a specific blog making it collaborative. As of right now, I'm still thinking of a new use for Wiki.

YouTube vs. TV

YouTube has content for  everyone . For example, there are many YouTuber's that post vlogs (blogs in video form), comedic skits, pranks, tutorials, DIY's, just to name a few! YouTube has provided us all with content that we wouldn't be able to find elsewhere.  I think we can all attest that  YouTube is great, but is it better than TV? I will be researching this topic from an economical, technological, and educational perspective. I'll also be discussing about the positive/negative effects and impact YouTube has on society.
