Advice

If I was hired by Baruch College to improve the college by using new media, I would implement the use of Reddit. Reddit users create forums where they can ask a question or start a discussion on a specific topic. Anyone from anywhere can answer and other people can up vote or down vote your comment. I think it would be a great idea for Baruch to have an account where students can ask questions and have it answered by other Baruch students.

  1. There is actually a Baruch College Reddit! (https://www.reddit.com/r/Baruch/) As far as I can tell not many people know about it but I think it would be a great idea to expose this to more students to get more interaction on the page.

  2. Yes there is one already but I would encourage students to use it more and maybe even staff so everyone can see others point of view.

Wiki So Far

I haven't added any content on Wiki yet but as of right now I would like to contribute to the Marketing wiki as I'm a Marketing major and have learned a thing or two this semester.

Social networking sites

After visiting Facebook, I noticed that the main page layout hasn't changed much from a decade ago, a time when Facebook was very popular among the middle and high school students. Twitter is the same, no new features, strictly tweeting. Instagram and Snapchat are two other social networks. Recently, Instagram added a new feature which happens to be Snapchat's main feature. Because of this, I think Snapchat will soon be obsolete.
